If you've never seen this game, you must play through it. White sacrifices every one of his pieces. Literally.

We start off with the QN, to get a couple of passed pawns.

The KB gets into the act.

21...Qb7 22.c6 Qb8 23.b6 would be a pretty picture.

The QR goes, to keep the Black king in the center.

It would have been more noteworthy---and more impressive---if White had won. ;-) Any patzer can throw it all away and lose. (Though GM Serper is certainly no patzer.) Was this at a standard time control? It looks like a one minute Bullet game gone wrong. ;-) I wonder what's the most pieces sacrificed by someone who won. If you can dig up a game where someone sacs everything and wins it'd make a nice companion to this game. :-) ---Scheherazade

Whoops. Thanks for catching the boo-boo; I have corrected the entry, though I was tempted to leave it at 0-1 and make up some silly reason why White lost the game.

By the way, it was indeed, an actual tournament game at a slow time control. That's why White repeated moves to get to move 40; for some reason, he was short on time.

See, I thought white ought to win, but *I'm* a patzer, so I figured there was something subtle that I was missing. LOL! Glad you corrected the score. It really is a wild game.---Scheherazade
